Shooting with a point-and-shoot

After getting Canon Autoboy 155, a 35mm point-and-shoot camera made in the 2000s, I decided to shoot something with it. Alongside a couple of friends, I went to the Sihai Park in Shenzhen. Like the name of the genre “point-and-shoot” implies, this little camera does not require any thinking before taking the picture as it would do all the calculation needed for a clear photo for you. This gives me the ability to capture the decisive moments while wondering around in the park.

The built-in flash has helped to fill out the shadows in the pictures, giving out a more vibrant color, as well as freezing the movement of objects like bubbles. The photos are all taken using Fujifilm’s Xtra 400 film stock, which has a great ability in reproducing green colors.
